JCFN’s new fiscal year has started ~ it’s time to renew or sign up for supporting membership

What month is July?

It is the month when JCFN begins its new fiscal year.

It is the beginning of the new year…which means it is time to renew your supporting membership.

For those who have not yet become a supporting member, it is the time to sign up.

So, here is the information on instructions for renewal of and signing up  supporting membership.

Praise the name of the Lord! Thank you for always supporting and praying for JCFN; we sincerely appreciate that our ministry has been continued in blessings throughout JCFN’s fiscal year from July 2021 to June 2022. A big thank you recently is the installation of new staff members, Shiori Kisangala (nee Furuya) in April of last year and Daisuke Tsuchida in December whose family came to North America to move to Atlanta, GA this May. Hallelujah! Please pray that the Tsuchida family’s life will be quickly settled and that their ministry in this area will get on track.

Positive Impact in Negative Times

While online meetings continue in Japan, in North America we have been switching back various events to face-to-face meetings since the EC Youth Camp last December. This past June, the Central Conference was held in-person in the Midwest, and the Leadership Camp WIT was held in-person in Southern California as well. During the post-WIT testimonial meeting, one participant shared:

“I can’t thank JCFN enough for the work they have done in these negative times when everything was shut down due pandemic the past two years. They have had a positive impact on us through online EC, online WIT, Central Conference, Worship Night, and many other online programs. Now, it’s a real pleasure to finally meet face-to-face with all the different people I met online…”

It was a rewarding comment for all the work we have put into the various events, not giving up because we can’t meet face-to-face, but doing what we can do online, and what we can do BECAUSE we are online.

Of course, not everything is switching to face-to-face meetings all at once, and many meetings are still being held online. And especially in Japan, gatherings with participants from a wide area, such as the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu, will continue in this form in the future. We sincerely thank the Lord for the many good things He has done even during this pandemic. And we sincerely look forward to seeing many times more blessings and progress in ministry than before the pandemic when the COVID subsides and we are able to meet more freely in the future. Please pray for the future ministry of JCFN. It is still difficult for returnees to establish themselves in local churches, especially in Japan, and much prayer and support is needed. Please sign up as a supporting member to support this ministry.

JCFN Supporting Members are members who support the JCFN ministry with an annual donation of $30 (¥3,000). Please register and/or renew your membership here. Please contact us at ushq@jcfn.org for any questions.

◎Difference between a Regular Member and a Supporting Member is…
A Regular Member receives various information, uses different ministries, and prays for JCFN. A Supporting Member supports JCFN with an annual donation of $30 (3,000 Yen) in addition to their regular membership activities.

◎How to set up a recurring supporting donation.
Due to database restructuring, you can now set up recurring supporting donation (only for dollar based credit card payments). The recurring payment occurs annually in the month of the initial set up month.) If you have already set up last year, you do not have to do anything.

◎Term for a Supporting Member is…
The term is same as JCFN’s fiscal year, July to June.

It is with your prayers and support that the JCFN ministry has continued for 30+ years. Thank you so much! Please continue to pray for each of the returnees to be further equipped by the Lord to build up His kingdom wherever they go, and to advance the ministry.

We pray that God’s rich grace and blessing would be on you.

Many blessings,

Setsu Shimizu, JCFN North America Director
Chihiro Okada, Japan Director

Central Conference 2021 Testimony (2)

My name is Luke Weng, and I live in Vancouver, BC. I am in a strange position where I am neither in work or school. That’s because I am recovering from 2 cancers and going through a 3rd one as of this moment.

I first heard about CC through my Gakusekai small group at VJGC(Vancouver Japanese Gospel Church). I have heard them talking about it, and it piqued my interest. I tried signing up for CC20 but I couldn’t find the register button haha.

I feel that God taught me many things through the conference. My knowledge and understanding of being a neighbor has been taken to another level. It happened when I was told that Jesus has become my neighbor and to do likewise to put Luke 10:25-37 into action. That statement really made me put myself into the perspective of the person who Jesus was talking to. Not only does it change my view of this scripture, but see Jesus not just as my Savior but as a good friend.

My favorite part of the conference were the games we played before ending each day, especially on the 2nd night (even though I didn’t get picked </3). It not only broke the ice between the participants, but it allowed me to make friends with the other people. I was deeply moved when everybody treated me with love and kindness even though I was a foreigner who doesn’t even speak Japanese.

I’m definitely coming to the future Central Conferences. Now, every time I think of the phrase “Christians” the people in CC are who first come to my mind!
